As a Medication History Pharmacy Technician at MercyOne, you will provide technical support in obtaining, verifying for accuracy, and recording initial medication histories from patients &/or their designated family/caregivers upon presentation to Mercy patient care areas. This includes conducting patient &/or family interviews focused on obtaining current medication regimens including prescription andover-the-counter(non-prescription) medications, as well as vitamin and herbal supplements. Will also perform other functions of a pharmacy technician registered in the State of Iowa and within the scope of Iowa law as needed. Schedule: 40 hours a week 10:30 am - 7:00 pm Every 3rd weekend Minimum Qualifications: High schooldiploma or GEDrequiredwhen nationally certified through NHA PCTB nationally certified technicians do NOTrequireHS diploma or GED Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within 3 months of hire National Pharmacy TechnicianCertification; Minimum of2000hoursof pharmacy technician experiencerequired; andRegistered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire OR Registered Pharmacist-Intern with the State of Iowa at the time of hire At MercyOne, we care deeply about your well-being—both physical and mental.
