Radiologist for Medical Imaging AI Annotation & Evaluation

Apply your diagnostic imaging expertise to help establish the clinical reference standards used to develop and evaluate medical AI systems. This non-clinical position focuses on annotation, reference-report authoring, and quality evaluation, with no direct patient care or responsibility for live diagnosis. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret imaging-based clinical cases using studies and patient context, documenting step-by-step diagnostic reasoning in addition to the final impression.
• Label structured findings using defined schemas, including presence, location, laterality, severity, and interval change.
• Author reference reports that represent the clinically appropriate report for a study and serve as evaluation ground truth.
• Review AI-generated imaging interpretations against clinical standards, identifying hallucinated findings, missed findings, and unsupported certainty.
• Create grading criteria and guidelines that distinguish excellent interpretations from acceptable ones and support consistent assessment at scale.
• Write challenging imaging questions designed to test the limits of model reasoning.

• MD or DO with completed diagnostic radiology residency.
• ABR certification, certification from an equivalent body in your jurisdiction, or board eligibility with residency completed.
• At least 2 years of independent reading experience after residency.
• Current or recent clinical practice with a record of high-volume independent reads.
• Strong command of applicable structured reporting standards, such as BI-RADS, LI-RADS, Lung-RADS, and TI-RADS.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Fellowship training in neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, body or abdominal, chest, breast, or pediatric imaging.
• U.S. licensure and board certification.
• Experience with medical image annotation, AI evaluation, or dataset curation.
• Experience teaching, designing rubrics, or assessing residents.
• Published research or sustained technical writing, with a link to a sample.

• Remote, worldwide hourly engagement.
• Join a shared expert pool rather than a single dedicated project. Following onboarding, assignments may span concurrent imaging workstreams based on subspecialty, availability, and interest, and may change as priorities shift.
• Tasks range from approximately 10 minutes for structured labeling to up to 1 hour for full case authoring. Each matched workstream includes a specific throughput target.
• Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with the ability to concentrate hours when a workstream is time-boxed.

$200 to $400 per hour.

• Maintain an active, unrestricted medical license in your country of practice.
