CNC Machining Apprentice

Responsibilities Learn to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes on a variety of projects Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand job requirements Assist with basic CNC programming and editing tasks Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality Maintain a clean and safe work area, following shop safety protocols Support general shop operations and develop practical machining skills through hands-on experience Work directly with experienced machinists for one-on-one training and mentorship Qualifications Strong desire to learn and build a career in CNC machining Reliable attendance and punctuality Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts Positive attitude and willingness to take direction No prior experience required; shop class or hands-on mechanical experience is a plus Compensation Starting at $20 per hour, with opportunities for raises as new skills are acquired.
