Performs deep debugging across a bounded set of distributed services, driving fixes that protect downstream consumers and upgrade paths. Analyzes usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces; implements targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. Authors and curates team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices. Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Participate in software design reviews and contribute to technical discussions. Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code. Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations. Analyze system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability. Collaborate with Product Management, and partner engineering teams. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback. Contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and documentation. Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and development processes. Required Technical Skills Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language. Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals. Experience developing REST APIs and microservices. Knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming. Understanding of cloud computing concepts and service-oriented architectures. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices. Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI DSS). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. Experience operating production cloud services. Familiarity with public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing). Experience with applied crytography. Expectations As Senior Platform Engineer you would be responsible for: Technical Execution Independently deliver medium-sized features and enhancements. Break down problems into manageable technical tasks. Produce clean, maintainable, and production-ready code. Identify and fix production issues with minimal guidance. Ownership Own one or more service components. Drive features from design through deployment. Take responsibility for operational health of owned components. Participate in incident response and postmortem activities. Work effectively with cross-functional teams. Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly. Participate actively in design and code reviews. Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices. Operational Excellence Build automation to reduce operational toil. Improve monitoring, alerting, and service reliability. Participate in on-call rotations and production support. Continuously improve service availability and performance. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $92,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. 8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
