Sr Java Software Engineer

What You’ll Do Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Design and develop Microservices-based applications and distributed backend systems. Build and deploy Java applications using AWS cloud services. Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs and services. Build and support asynchronous, event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka. Develop database-driven applications using Hibernate/JPA. Design database schemas and optimize SQL queries when required. Integrate backend services with external systems and third-party platforms. Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests. Troubleshoot application issues and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and production delivery. Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other engineering teams. Required Qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on Java backend development. Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot. Strong experience with Microservices architecture. Extensive experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Strong hands‑on experience with Hibernate / JPA. Experience with AWS cloud services and deploying applications to AWS. Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka, event‑driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging. Strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems. Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Nice to Have Docker and Kubernetes. CI/CD and DevOps practices.
