Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP or PA)

Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

We are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Occupational Medicine clinic. The provider will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to employees and employers, focusing on work-related injuries, regulatory physicals, and preventive occupational health services. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
• Perform occupational health physicals (pre-employment, DOT, return-to-work, fit-for-duty, surveillance exams)
• Conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) exams (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Develop and implement treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care
• Provide suturing, splinting, wound care, and other minor procedures
• Interpret basic diagnostic studies (X-rays, EKGs, spirometry, audiograms, lab results)
• Communicate effectively with employers regarding work status and restrictions
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physician and clinic team

Qualifications

Required:

• Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in [State]
• Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• DEA license (or eligibility)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 12 years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or occupational medicine preferred)

Preferred:

• Experience in Occupational Medicine
• DOT Medical Examiner certification
• Experience with workers' compensation cases
• Proficiency with EMR systems
