Civil Construction Supervisor

Job Title: Civil Construction Supervisor Location: Holland, Minnesota Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $60.00 - $63.50 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Responsibilities Serve as the Owner's on-site civil lead responsible for oversight, verification, and coordination of all civil and underground utility construction activities related to a combustion turbine project. Ensure work is executed in accordance with Issued for Construction drawings, specifications, and applicable codes, maintaining quality, safety, schedule, and turnover standards. Verify contractor compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes; witness inspections and elevate risks or non-conformances. Provide oversight of mass concrete foundations, rebar, anchor bolts, and embedded items. Oversee underground utilities including electrical duct banks, piping, and gas lines. Coordinate and verify concrete and soils testing performed by third parties. Act as the interface between owner, contractors, engineering, and QA/QC teams. Ensure safety compliance and environmental controls such as SWPPP. Maintain inspection documentation and support turnover readiness. Review and verify excavation, subgrade preparation, and bearing conditions. Confirm rebar placement, anchor bolt alignment, and embed installation. Witness pre-pour inspections and concrete placement activities. Ensure proper curing methods and protection measures are implemented. Monitor trenching, bedding, and backfill operations for underground utilities. Verify utility routing, separation distances, and testing of piping and gas systems. Ensure accurate as-built documentation. Track soil compaction and laboratory results for testing coordination. Verify concrete test results meet specifications and elevate failed tests for corrective actions. Requirements 7+ years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction. Experience with mass concrete and underground utilities. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports. Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and construction sequencing.
