Reference: PR/ _ Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid) Schedule: Monday-Wednesday in office | Thursday-Friday remote Industry: Restaurant / Foodservice (Required)PositionOverviewOur client isseekingahighlystrategicandresults-drivenSeniorManager,StrategicSourcing-Proteinstoleadsourcinginitiativesacrosscriticalfoodcategories,includingBeef,Chicken/Poultry,Pork,FreshProduce,andFrozenProduce.Thisindividualwillberesponsiblefordevelopingandexecutingcategorystrategies,managingsupplierrelationships,mitigatingcommodityrisk,anddrivingvalueacrossanationalrestaurantoperation.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in protein procurement within a restaurant, QSR, casual dining, or foodservice environment and has demonstrated success leading sourcing teams and developing talent. This role will serve as a key business partner to Operations, Culinary, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Distribution teams to ensure uninterrupted supply, cost optimization, andproductquality.KeyResponsibilitiesStrategicSourcing&CategoryManagementDevelopandexecutesourcingstrategiesfor:BeefChicken/PoultryPorkFreshProduceFrozenProduceManagesupplierselection,RFPs,contractnegotiations,andsupplierperformanceprograms.Drivecostsavingsandmarginimprovementinitiativeswhilemaintainingqualityandservicestandards.Monitorcommoditymarketsandprovideinsightsonpricing,availability,andmarkettrends.Developshort-andlong-termprocurementstrategiestomitigatesupplydisruptionsandmarketvolatility.Leadannualbudgeting,forecasting,andinflationplanningforassignedcategories.SupplierRelationshipManagementBuildandmaintainexecutive-levelrelationshipswithkeysuppliersandstrategicpartners.EstablishsupplierscorecardsandKPIsrelatedtoquality,service,cost,andinnovation.Identifyopportunitiestoimprovesupplierperformance,continuity,andproductavailability.Leadcontractnegotiationsandcommercialagreementstosecurefavorablepricingandterms.Cross-FunctionalLeadershipPartnercloselywithCulinary,Marketing,Operations,QualityAssurance,andFinanceteams.Supportproductinnovation,menuchanges,promotionalinitiatives,andnewproductlaunches.Collaboratewithdistributionpartnerstoensureservicelevelsandinventorytargetsareachieved.Providecategoryexpertiseandmarketintelligencetoseniorleadership.RiskManagement&ContinuousImprovementDevelopriskmitigationstrategiesrelatedtocommodityvolatility,supplycontinuity,andcapacityconstraints.Evaluatealternativesuppliersandsourcingmodelstoimproveflexibilityandresilience.Implementprocessimprovements,sourcingbestpractices,andprocurementgovernanceinitiatives.Utilizedataandanalyticstodrivestrategicdecision-makingandidentifysavingsopportunities.Leadership&TeamManagementLead,coach,anddevelopateamofsourcingandprocurementprofessionals.Establishcleargoals,performanceexpectations,andprofessionaldevelopmentplans.Fosterahigh-performanceculturecenteredaroundcollaboration,accountability,andcontinuousimprovement.Mentorteammembersandbuildsuccessionplansforcriticalroles.RequiredQualificationsBachelor'sdegreeinSupplyChain,Business,Finance,FoodScience,orrelatedfield.5+yearsofprogressivesourcing,procurement,orcategorymanagementexperience.2+yearsofdirectpeopleleadershipexperiencerequired.Restaurant,QSR,casualdining,foodservice,orhospitalityindustryexperiencerequired.Provenexperiencemanagingproteincategoriesincluding:BeefChicken/PoultryPorkExperiencesourcingfreshandfrozenproduce.Strongcontractnegotiationandsupplierrelationshipmanagementexperience.Demonstratedsuccessmanagingsignificantspendanddeliveringmeasurablecostsavings.Experienceworkingwithcommodity-drivencategoriesandriskmanagementstrategies.Stronganalytical,financial,andproblem-solvingskills.PreferredQualificationsExperiencesupportinganationalormulti-siterestaurantorganization.KnowledgeofUSDAregulations,foodsafetystandards,andsupplierqualityprograms.ExperiencewithERPandprocurementsystems(SAP,Oracle,Coupa,Ariba,etc.).Strongunderstandingoffoodsupplychains,distributionnetworks,andcommoditymarkets.
