Software Architect

Salary: $130,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring 5+ years of experience as a software architect and/or software engineer.
• We hold a bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• We have knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Golang, Java, C++, or Python.
• We communicate clearly and stay highly organized.
• We are U.S. citizens.
• We can obtain or already hold a Top Secret clearance.
• Preferred: we have experience with system modeling and software architecture using MBSE.
• Preferred: we have worked with C4 modeling using Structurizr.
• Preferred: we are familiar with Architecture Decision Records (ADR).
• Preferred: we understand zero-trust architectures and identity and access management systems.

• We work with the lead architect to define and coordinate the implementation of architecture models within the system.
• We partner with business and technical teammates to align architectural direction with the value stream and enterprise architecture.
• We define, create, and update software system architectures and guide implementation with software engineers and developers.
• We analyze architecture and engineering data to solve complex problems, recommend solutions, and improve products and processes.
• We identify and shape system architectures that streamline internal development and operations.
• We create and document functional and detailed design architectures.
• We ensure the system remains secure, resilient, observable, and adaptable as new customers and features are introduced.
• We drive long-term modernization efforts and help shape technology direction.
• We work with product owners and technical teammates to translate customer needs into system requirements.
• We lead architecture definition and concepts within the system.
• We collaborate with solution architects and system engineering to keep system architecture aligned with the value stream architecture.
• We help define, scope, and refine architecture backlog items.
• We mentor, guide, and coach software engineers and developers on system and solution architecture practices.
• We continuously learn and apply modern software delivery best practices while working across teams to achieve project and product goals.
