Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic invites you to apply for our Pharmacy Residency Program! Note: Applicants currently in their final year of pharmacy school are encouraged to apply. However, it is expected that all applicants will have graduated from an accredited pharmacy program before the start of the residency in July. Why Choose YVFWC? Yakima Valley Farm Workers, in collaboration with Washington State University (WSU) College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, offers a one-year post-graduate primary care pharmacy residency program. They will also contribute to setting and achieving departmental goals to enhance pharmaceutical services and patient care standards. To meet these objectives, residents will participate in both required and optional experiences within the YVFWC organization. These experiences include primary care services, clinic-based pharmacy management, central fill and specialty pharmacy operations, care for patients with HIV, refugee services, and administrative practices. Additionally, residents will have opportunities to engage in research and gain teaching experience through our partnership with the WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Overall, this program emphasizes delivering pharmaceutical care to improve patient outcomes, regardless of the patient's background or circumstances.
