Job Description The Jack Driver is responsible for moving product in and out of the coolers/freezers and to different areas in the plant with an electric/manual jack. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Ability to read and understand English and can identify items on paperwork. * Can communicate verbally with supervisors and associates. * Must have the ability to be trained to use an electric jack safely. * Must have the ability to work overtime as needed. * Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded & transported to the necessary area. * Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment. * Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment: Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested. * Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary. Report quality variances. * Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Additional Duties and Responsibilities * Constant walking throughout the plant picking and delivering products. * Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. * Work in a damp and cold environment * Bending, standing * Willingness to work. * Other job duties as needed or assigned by Supervisor. Work Environment: Required to access the poultry production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
