Site Supervisor – Madrona Day Treatment Hiring Range:This position has a compensation range that spans the salary threshold for Washington State, which means that this position may be classified as either non-exempt (hourly) or exempt (salaried), depending on the candidate’s qualifications, including education, experience, and other relevant factors. This role ensures that program goals are established and being met, that appropriate levels of services are being provided to consumers, and facilitate continuity of care for consumers. The Site Supervisor assumes primary clinical responsibility for providing services and supervising program staff. General Summary of Duties: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for Madrona Day Treatment consumers. Oversee the formulation of program goals, clarify the theoretical framework which guides treatment, and establish criteria for admission into the program. Facilitate the ongoing development and implementation of the program schedule, assuring the development of programs that meet consumers' emotional, developmental, and educational needs. Ensure appropriate levels of staffing to carry out program activities. Ensure the provision of programmatic services as necessary to ensure that all consumers have access to ongoing, coordinated behavioral health services. Support the development of behavior and classroom plans for each consumer and guide the implementation. Actively participate in monitoring consumer progress and adapting treatment to match the emerging clinical picture, including classroom observations to monitor the success of the overall classroom. Attend to the maintenance of positive staff morale and teamwork, providing opportunities for training, team building, or other activities that contribute to establishing a positive, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Work directly with the other KMHS C&F program staff and with school district personnel in the triage of program referrals. Provide in-program coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels, supervision, and maintenance of Madrona Day Treatment activities. Provide backup crisis intervention/emergency support to the program and staff. Support off-site activities, including transportation of consumers, as needed. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with KMHS programs, school district personnel, and other public or private agencies to provide an essential level of care for consumers and further enhance the agency's overall mission and goals. Ensure that all necessary paperwork for reports and contracts is fully completed in an accurate and timely manner, including completing annual performance reviews for program staff. Provide consultation, education, and/or training as needed to KMHS staff, school personnel, or designated others regarding Madrona Day Treatment, clinical issues related to emotionally troubled youth and families, or issues related to continuity of care for consumers. Participate in meetings/committees within KMHS and the community as needed. Recruit, hire, and develop qualified staff, including ongoing coaching and conducting performance appraisals. Provide additional oversight of the maintenance of the kitchen and facility as needed, including coordinating the delivery of student meals with internal and external providers. In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description. Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes Direct Reports may include: Behavioral Interventionists, Lead Behavioral Interventionalists, Instructional Assistants Interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and supervision of direct reports. Collaborate with program director in the annual performance review process. Minimum Qualifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health. EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience). This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency. Incumbent must meet all agency driving requirements, including being at least 21 years old, having been licensed for a minimum of three years, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver’s license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Valid Washington Food Worker Card. Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; training provided by the organization). EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health. EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience). This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency. Incumbent must meet all agency driving requirements, including being at least 21 years old, having been licensed for a minimum of three years, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver’s license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation. Preferred Qualifications: EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health. EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years of experience) Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment. Experience with administration and program development. At least two years of previous experience as a supervisor. LICENSURE: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC). Child Mental Health Specialist preferred. Performance Requirements: KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology. Knowledge of mental health rehabilitation standards. Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices SKILLS: Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public. Communicates clearly and concisely. Working with youth with complex mental health needs. Capacity to effectively manage a team. Providing direct service to individuals with complex needs. Working with partner agencies toward a shared goal. ABILITIES: Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member. Assist in building positive working relationships with staff of all agency departments. Work effectively through complex situations toward joint solutions Manage high acuity crisis situations and focus on least restrictive alternatives Manage fast-paced work environment and shift priorities effectively Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Operation of a motor vehicle. Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is required to: Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ascend and descend stairs and navigate indoor and outdoor environments safely. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (occasionally). Assist with client movement and transfers, with or without assistance, in accordance with training and safety protocols. Safely participate in crisis intervention, including implementation of approved de-escalation techniques and physical restraints in accordance with agency training and policy. Move quickly and respond to emergencies, including rapid repositioning or short-distance movement to maintain safety. Use hands and arms for reaching, handling, and manipulation, including reaching above shoulder level. Have visual acuity sufficient to read written materials and observe surroundings; peripheral vision sufficient to monitor clients and the environment. Have hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and detect environmental and behavioral cues. Meet and maintain physical requirements demonstrated through agency-mandated training, including demonstration of ability to: maintain balance, twist torso, forward bend, pivot, sidestep, forward and backward step, crouch, move to secure limb, knee touch to ground, kneel, get up from floor sitting or kneeling position.
