Ultrasound Technologist - Float

Job Overview Fairview is seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic vascular team with a home base at our Fairview Vascular Clinic in Edina, MN. This float position offers variety and collaboration, supporting care across multiple locations, including: Fairview Vascular Clinic – Edina Vein Clinic – Edina Vein Clinic – Maple Grove Position Details: Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM FTE: 1.0 (80 hours every two weeks) The Ultrasound Technologist-Clinic functions independently within the boundaries of professional practice, providing services to patients and physicians through the creation of high‑quality diagnostic imaging. The technologist offers quality, age‑appropriate patient care, works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team, and follows all policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner Verifies patient identification and documentation Reviews physician order prior to exam or procedure Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Recognizes structures visualized and understands their significance Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to referring physicians and/or radiologists Participates in creating a culture of patient safety Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for facility Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non‑routine diagnostic testing procedures Required Qualifications ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 days RVT within 6 months Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Preferred Qualifications ARDMS registered in multiple specialties Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement options, early access to earned wages, and more.
