CNC Machinist - 1st ShiftCleveland, OH, United StatesAbout the Job CNC Machinist - 1st ShiftWe have 1st shift positions available running CNC Mills and Lathes. The rate of pay is based on prior work experience and schooling. Shift hours are between 6:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.Responsibilities:Plan each day’s machining by studying blueprints, engineering plans, and materials.Complete multiple setups daily as our parts are custom-made.Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.Program CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.Read and edit G-Code.Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance.Ensure continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions in our internal electronic system.Confer with engineers, production, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.Qualifications and Skills:Ability to operate and program CNC mills or lathes.Proficient computer and technical skills.Can read blueprints.Detail-oriented.Team player.Self-starter.Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a production environment.Physical Demands:Regularly required to stand and walk.Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.Moderate noise level in the work environment.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Additional Requirements:Ability to pass a competency test, pre-employment drug test, and background check.
