WHAT YOU’LL DO…

We value endless growth and learning, a team mentality, discipline and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Supports one (1) Drybar shop with proper auditions & training, understanding of new products & retail supplies, shop compliance, providing a positive morale approach, implement problem solving strategies and execute impeccable delivery of tasks.
  • Assist in all new hire stylist training from the proper Drybar blowout techniques, assist in new hire paperwork onboarding, services offered and client experience training. Confirm that all training is conducted in a timely manner of 3 days for all new hires and 1-2 days for rehires and/or depending on the needs of the stylist. Ensure and responsible for all certification criteria being met prior to releasing newly hired team members to be floor approved.
  • Must be able to complete a minimum of 20 blowouts weekly to lead by example and help increase client count across market.
  • Confirm communication of special product, merchandising and services promotions to all team members. Will be responsible for training others how to communicate promotions to clients or train stylists to technically perform the services being offered.
  • Thorough understanding of team member handbook, state supplement and all company policies, processes and procedures. Guarantee that all company procedures and policies, federal, state and local regulations are followed and health department and cosmetology board required standards of compliance and operations are met.
  • Ensure adherence to Drybar’s Timekeeping Policy and Supervisor Timekeeping Policy Addendum. Responsible for reporting all time worked for self and others, including any work performed off shop premises, in a timely fashion to management.
  • Lead team members with the client experience from check in to check out ensuring Drybar standards are upheld. Uphold to the Drybar 10 core values and non-negotiables to set the team up for success.
  • Monitor shop inventory: regularly check all retail supplies; may assist with stocking product, tools and supplies. May support inventory management at the direction of management. Develop new and creative ways to sell, educate and demonstrate products.
  • Responsible for providing staff with weekly information as it relates to styling services, product launches, and/or when directed by management. Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a member of the leadership team in technical workshops, in-store events, demos, classes, and any additional events.
  • Supports new product implementation, marketing campaigns and other company initiatives to ensure successful execution at the shop level.
  • Responsible for providing sales and training feedback, education results and other metrics to gauge effectiveness of training to management.
  • Participates in Training and Education Team conference calls to provide partnership and create solutions to address business needs around technical education and to drive sales.
  • Provide ongoing advanced education for your assigned shops and ensure stylists are meeting the 45 minute requirement on managing a blowout.
  • Work towards a 1:8 teacher to stylist ratio for all trainings to maximize efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Recruit and train top shelf reserve stylists in each location to assist as needed in your market

QUALITY AND SAFETY STANDARDS:

Enforce State Cosmetology State Board standards and local health department standards (if applicable) in each shop.

Responsible for managing shop injury, illness, and prevention program. Maintain safe environment for team members, customers and other visitors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifts regularly up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The team member is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to sustain standing and walking throughout shift. Capable of gripping items and reaching with hands and arms. Will be required on occasion to travel for business purposes, which will entail driving a personal automobile and using various means of public transportation.

WORKPLACE CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a variety of settings including home office, professional office and retail shop environment. Must be productive working in a fast-paced, noisy environment in shops. Will occasionally work in a modern business office environment, home office and may regularly work out of retail shop locations or other off-site locations. This is a full-time position. This position may frequently require longer hours and weekend work. In shop operations must be productive working in a fast-paced, noisy environment. Chemical exposure limited to Barbicide and other hair care products.

EQUIPMENT USED:

This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, laptops, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Will also work with blow dryers, hot tools and hair care products.
