Job Title: Patient Intake Representative
Worksite Location:
USA - IN - Huntington - 2003 Stults Road - Suite 200
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and greet patients upon arrival
- Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors
- Assist patients with registration and check-in procedures
- Enter patient demographic and billing information accurately
- Verify insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accounts
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis, as needed
- Call physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test orders
- Monitor and log patient wait times regularly
- Notify the supervisor of any patient issues in a timely manner
- Promote and provide information about Labcorp patient services
- Manage office supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
- Open and close the office when necessary
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- One year or more of customer service experience
Additional Job Standards:
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work overtime, as needed
- Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test
