Inova Women's Services has one of the largest obstetric programs in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area with more than 10,000 births at Inova Women's Hospital and a total of more than 20,000 across the entire Inova system. Work/Life Balance: offering paid time off and paid parental leave MFM Physician Job Responsibilities & Practice Details Join a collaborative team of 12 Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialists and one advanced practice provider, supported by genetic counselors, highly skilled sonographers, and dedicated clinical staff Provide antenatal care and consultation services for select high-risk obstetric patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital Participate in a practice model where the MFM group provides delivery services for select high-risk pregnancies, with after-hours and weekend call supported by a dedicated hospitalist program Engage in a team-based, multidisciplinary care model alongside: OB/GYN generalists Neonatology (Level IV NICU) Pediatric subspecialists Genetic counseling and fetal therapy teams Opportunities to participate in academic and teaching activities, including working with medical students, residents, and fellows Contribute to a culture focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, and innovation in high-risk obstetric care Minimum Qualifications Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Experience: Successful completion of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program and fellowship trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start or ACLS Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payer Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services Preferred Qualifications Two years practicing as a maternal fetal medicine physician preferred About Us We are Inova, Northern Virginia's leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
