Leasing Manager - Student Housing

We're currently seeking an outgoing, high-energy Leasing Manager to help launch a brand-new, purpose-built student housing community near Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. This is a rare ground-up lease-up opportunity where you’ll build the leasing operation from scratch, own marketing and lead generation, and lead a small team through the first full leasing cycle. Student housing experience is a plus, but candidates with conventional multifamily lease-up or new development experience are encouraged to apply if you bring the drive, organization, and sales mindset to win leases in a competitive environment. Responsibilities Own the full lease-up strategy for a new 500+ bed student housing community, including pre-leasing and occupancy performance Build and manage day-to-day leasing systems including CRM discipline, tour flow, follow-up cadence, and reporting Lead, coach, and develop a small leasing team (approximately 1 full-time and a couple part-time consultants) Drive marketing, outreach, and lead generation through campus presence, events, social media, and grassroots efforts Partner with regional leadership to hit leasing goals and execute the launch timeline from temporary office through opening Qualifications Experience in student housing leasing or conventional multifamily leasing, ideally with lease-up or new development exposure Proven ability to generate leads and close leases through proactive outreach and strong follow-up Comfortable leading a small team and setting expectations in a fast-moving environment Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to build processes without an existing playbook Must be local to Ithaca (within commuting distance) or willing to relocate (no on-site housing available until the building opens) Perks Earn up to $62,000 (base plus bonus potential) Bonus opportunities may include per-lease incentives, quarterly performance bonuses, and an occupancy club payout at full occupancy High-visibility opportunity to open a brand-new student housing community and own the leasing launch end to end Work for a nationwide company that can offer growth and stability Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr WMFHA
