Perioperative RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

This position offers a Day 5x8-Hour shift from 06:30 - 15:00, with variable on-call shifts on weekends and nights, requiring 8 shifts per month.

The Perioperative RN will float between units as per unit needs and provide comprehensive nursing care through all areas in the surgery department including Pre/Post-op, Circulating, PACU, and Endo. The role is essential for maintaining patient safety and ensuring high-quality service in various surgical specialties such as OBGYN, Ortho, GI/GS, ENT, Pain, and Dental.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate in surgical procedures and assist with patient care in Pre-op, PACU, and Endoscopy.
• Monitor and assist patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and universal precautions.
• Actively participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid MT or Compact RN license at the time of submission is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge experience preferred.
• Experience working in a critical access hospital is necessary.
• Proven ability to function flexibly within surgical services.
