Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Overview Come join the team at Sentara Independence – Emergency Department. 36‑hour full‑time weekend shift (Fri‑Sun) 10 AM to 10 PM. $15,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates. The ER offers 24/7 board‑certified physicians, quality nurses, advanced imaging, and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Location Virginia Beach, VA Role: Registered Nursing (RN) The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process and professional practice standards in the emergency department. Assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching & health promotion. Demonstrated clinical skill set for the ED setting. Responsibilities Deliver nursing care to emergency department patients. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications ADN required; BSN or higher preferred. Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing. ACLS & PALS or ENPC certification within 1 year; BLS within 90 days of hire. Hospital RN experience with emergency department experience preferred.
