Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12 Hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Must be available for weekends and holidays as needed, with floating to other medical surgical and rehabilitation units if required.

The Medical Surgical department is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical and surgical care to adult inpatients and outpatients. This role involves caring for a variety of patient populations including medical, surgical, and telemetry patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
• Conduct nursing assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and manage patient vital signs and physical conditions.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting.
• Current RN license required; no license hits accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is heavily preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed.
• Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only.
