Senior Product Manager or Director of Product, Intelligence Platform & Enterprise Services

Aila is hiring a senior product leader for our software platform that turns fleet and operations data into answers for mission-critical applications. Enterprises run their most important frontline work on mobile and edge devices: checking a customer in, completing a transaction, verifying an item. Today, they can see that the fleet is healthy and the app is running, but there is so much more opportunity to aid frontline workers and their technology teams. Aila’s intelligence platform enables a new, holistic, and proactive approach to device monitoring and health, dramatically increasing uptime while reducing costly RMAs and service events for our enterprise customers. This role is accountable for the intelligence platform that unlocks greater outcomes for frontline operators, from start to finish. That intelligence also powers Aila's enterprise services: the deployment, managed-service, and fleet-operations offerings that keep customer solutions running. You’ll report to the Head of Product and work closely with software engineering, data, design, sales, partnerships, and customer success. The role spans from intelligence platform business strategy to roadmap to the detail of an SDK interface to a single dashboard view. It includes spending time with the people who run device fleets for a living so that we have a deep understanding of our customers' needs, while tracking and keeping us ahead of our competitors. We’re flexible on level: the role can be an individual contributor who leads through influence, or a Director of Product willing to roll up their sleeves now and potentially build a small team in the future. Responsibilities Lead the strategy and roadmap for Aila’s intelligence platform, from the on-device SDK capabilities through the data pipeline to the dashboards and alerts customers rely on Decide what to build and what to pass on beyond the current foundation: the platform could measure almost anything, and the craft is prioritizing the signals and views that have the greatest impact for our customers Evolve the business case for the platform over time (pricing, bundling, recurring revenue, and how software attaches to Aila’s hardware) and defend it with leadership Turn the questions operators actually ask into product: data models, SDK capabilities, dashboards, and alerts Work with engineering on the parts that define the product: what gets measured on the device, how a customer describes the work that matters to them, and how millions of events become one clear answer Make the developer experience a feature: a customer’s engineer/agent should be able to instrument a workflow in an afternoon through clean, well-documented interfaces Design to make dense fleet and workflow data legible to an operator who has five minutes and a problem Define how the platform works alongside the tools enterprises already run, adding a layer they don’t have rather than replacing one they do Build tight feedback loops with the people who manage technology deployments, and decide what graduates from customer conversation to committed roadmap: one win is bespoke, ten wins make a repeatable solution Spend time with customers and prospects in our priority industry verticals, so the roadmap stays grounded in real workflows and success is measured by customer outcomes Bring what you learn in the field back to engineering and go-to-market to sharpen positioning and decide what to build next Work with sales, partnerships, marketing, and solution engineering to get the platform into the field and into deals Turn Aila's enterprise services (deployment, managed services, and the operations behind a customer's fleet) into products with clear scope, pricing, and margins Define how services attach to the platform and hardware so customers can buy a complete solution, and use the platform's own data to make service delivery proactive instead of reactive Qualifications 7+ years in product management, with real-time spent on data-heavy software: analytics, observability, telemetry, monitoring, or business intelligence Profound ability to understand the market, user needs (define what is important), and articulate them in a way engineers/developers can understand Good discovery instincts, the judgment to say no to good ideas that don’t fit, and the comfort to make good decisions with 80% of the information Comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work, and curious enough to keep finding better ones You’ve taken a software product through its full lifecycle, from concept and first customers to something enterprises depend on Experience with developer-facing surfaces (SDKs, APIs, integration tooling, MCP/ACP) and the judgment to keep them simple Comfortable in a B2B enterprise setting with long sales cycles and many stakeholders, including IT, operations, procurement, and the executives who sign You can go deep with engineers on event models and data pipelines, then translate the tradeoffs into plain business value for executives Experience with services or managed offerings Bachelor’s degree required; a technical degree or MBA helps Willing to travel up to 20%, mostly to customer sites and the field Bonus points for applied AI products, observability or monitoring products, enterprise mobility, or analytics built on physical-world operations Experience in one or more of our industry verticals is helpful Aila Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
