Sightpath Medical is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support a growing ophthalmology ASC in the Mills River/Asheville area. This unique hybrid role combines operating room support with inventory management responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys organization, autonomy, and being an integral part of a high-performing surgical team. This position primarily supports inventory management and operating room operations, with opportunities to scrub ophthalmic procedures as business needs evolve. Why Sightpath Medical? What You'll Do Manage ophthalmic inventory and supplies stored at an off-site inventory location. Perform inventory counts, ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and replenishment to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Transport inventory and supplies between the storage location and ASC using a company-provided vehicle. Assist with operating room turnover alongside facility surgical staff to ensure efficient case flow. Prepare surgical equipment and supplies for ophthalmic procedures. Scrub into ophthalmic procedures as needed to support the surgical team, with opportunities for additional ophthalmology training. Collaborate with surgeons, ASC staff, and Sightpath teammates to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional patient care. What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or certification eligible. Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with experience managing inventory or supplies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with surgeons and ASC staff. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfortable using company-issued iPhone and iPad. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/driving record. Strong customer service and communication skills.
