As we broaden our neurological health services, our organization is on the lookout for board-certified or board-eligible neuromuscular neurologists to become part of our growing multi-disciplinary team. We provide flexible roles that encompass both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Full-time positions are available in the following areas:

• Long Island:

• Peconic Bay Medical Center (Riverhead)
• Mather Hospital (Port Jefferson)
• Staten Island:

The Department of Neurology has experienced significant growth over the past five years, aiming to deliver comprehensive and integrated healthcare and wellness services. Being part of this service line allows for collaboration with a large network of neurologists, access to academic resources, world-class grand rounds, conferences, and opportunities to discuss and share cases with specialists in various subspecialties. Our organization’s Institute for Neurology includes three hospitals ranked among the top 50 by U.S. News & World Report, with North Shore University Hospital achieving the highest rank at #22 nationally. Additionally, we have four comprehensive stroke programs, 11 primary stroke centers, and one thrombectomy-capable center.

Under the leadership of Dr. Souhel Najjar , a globally recognized neurologist known for his clinical, research, and teaching expertise, the Department of Neurology has seen remarkable expansion. The department leverages the extensive resources of our organization and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide cutting-edge care while contributing to advancements in technology, education, and research.

Furthermore, an academic appointment with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell will be aligned with the candidate's credentials and experience. Physicians will be employed as part of our Physician Partners group, which is the seventh largest medical group in the nation.

Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• MD degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or a similarly accredited foreign program)
• Completion of a Neurology residency and a Neuromuscular fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Must hold or be eligible for a medical license in the State of New York

The full-time clinical base salary within our organization ranges from $125K to $750K, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of potential base compensation at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change in the future.
