As a Data Engineer, you will support the development of a strategic data platform across client Securities Group. The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and hands-on data engineering expertise.Job Title: Data EngineerLocation: Charlotte, NC What’s the Job?Design and develop a strategic Azure-based data platform supporting multiple data domains. Build data pipelines and solutions using Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. Develop the initial securities reference data and pricing data platform and expand into additional data domains. Develop and integrate APIs using Python/FastAPI and Azure services. Collaborate with Data Strategy, Capital Markets, and technology teams while following established development standards.What’s Needed?10+ years of Data Engineering/software development experience with strong Python and PySpark skills. Hands-on experience with Azure, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure Databricks, Azure databases, and Microsoft Fabric. Strong SQL, ETL/ELT, data pipeline, and data platform development experience. Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks, along with Azure Functions/API Gateway. Experience with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, and preferably financial services, securities, market data, or financial instruments.What’s in it for me?Opportunity to work on a strategic enterprise-wide Digital Transformation initiative.
