Title QC Specialist - Texas

Location : Remote (candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office) Schedule : Full-time, Exempt What We Offer Generous base pay - $74,600-$90,000/year Health, dental, and vision benefits 401K and disability coverage Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional training Recognition programs, growth opportunities, and a family‑friendly atmosphere ClassPass and Breethe Memberships What You’ll Do Reviewing all title packages to confirm the title report is complete and includes all required supporting documents Double-checking calculated interests to ensure accuracy and proper documentation Verifying alignment between the title report data and the accompanying documents, including names, plats, calculations, and other relevant details Identifying discrepancies or omissions and communicating with the assigned Title Agent for corrections or clarification Cross-referencing documentation to confirm that all backup materials are present, relevant, and appropriately referenced in the report Asking questions proactively when data does not align or when calculations and document sources require clarification Ensuring each packet is audit‑ready and meets internal quality standards before submission We’re Looking for Someone Who Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills Is analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Thrives in a fast‑paced administrative setting Provides strong customer service experience Can adapt to new systems and software environments Minimum Requirements Minimum of five years of experience pulling title and title history Must include experience with West Texas title Must have experience Analyzing titles and title reports; Verifying property ownerships, mortgages, liens, and/or judgments against properties; determining if restrictions, such as delinquent taxes, will affect titles and limit property use; Identifying key information about parcels and communicating such effectively to property owners Proficient reading deeds, legal descriptions, plats, easements, searching parcel data, and producing a chain of title Ability to read and understand real‑estate terminology Ability to ascertain types of title evidence required to obtain descriptions of properties and names involved Must be proficient with MS Office Suite specifically Excel and Word, Dropbox or equivalent Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems Valid Driver's License Bonus Points if you have mineral title experience and/or Uniform Relocation Act knowledge for title review! Per diem and relocation are not provided. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
