Requisition Number 2026S057Posting Full Time/Part Time Full Time Division Athletics Department Women's Ice Hockey Accountabilities Responsible for execution of specific strategic activities and outcomes within assigned sport or area. These will include sustained performance and execution in the following areas: Adherence to head coach's philosophy Athletic instruction/coaching Program operations and administration, as designated by head coach Responsible for oversight of administrative operations regarding student-athlete development, including but not limited to: monitoring of student-athlete academic progress and well-being ensure student-athlete participation in all assigned community service activities fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive team environment Responsible for execution of scouting, film preparation, and competition preparation, including but not limited to: video breakdown use of appropriate video-editing software coordination and oversight over film exchange program per conference policies coordination of team film sessions development of scouting reports Responsible for aiding in the development and execution of the team recruitment strategy, including but not limited to: exercises independent judgement regarding recruitment of prospective student-athletes decision-making authority, as designated by the head coach, to determine which individuals to recruit and the allocation of scholarship allocations (as applicable) attracting and evaluating prospective student athletes monitoring prospective student-athlete academic progress and well being developing and maintaining relationships with prospective student athletes and other recruiting constituents Required Accountable for maintaining personal compliance, including but not limited to, attending all required compliance education and other departmental training meetings and programs, as well as the satisfactory on-time completion of all departmental logs and forms, as it applies to all relevant governing bodies: NCAA specific conference athletic department university policies Accountable For Maintaining Professional Relationships With Key Internal And External Stakeholders, Including But Not Limited To The Following Engagement Activities Or Strategies alumni newsletters and communication general team promotion and marketing to all constituents determining communication strategy within university and local community Independent and unchallengeable decision-making regarding all student‑athlete participation in assigned sport activities when the head coach is not present. Accountable for student‑athlete welfare while coaching. Responsible for maintaining a budget. Exercises independent discretion on all purchases and budgetary decisions for the program. Responsible for hiring, oversight and management of student managers and part-time casual wage staff. At the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach has discretion on hiring and termination of student employees and part-time casual wage staff. Responsible for role modelling behaviors and leadership for student‑athletes, including but not limited to personal accountability, solution driven problem solving, teamwork, effectively communicating with a diverse population of constituents, and embracing evolving university and divisional priorities. This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), in accordance with the federal statutory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act. CSAs are required to and responsible for reporting allegations of crimes they receive from students and employees to the Campus Safety Department. Professional Experience/Qualifications 5 years of combined experience in collegiate ice hockey, as a player, coach, and/or operations director Significant knowledge of ice hockey Knowledge of recruiting and coaching at the college or an equivalently high level Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a staff Preferred Qualifications 5 years of combined experience in NCAA Division I ice hockey, as a player, coach, and/or operations director Prior experience in Division I women's ice hockey (or an equivalent level) Education A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
