Job Title: MU CAMP Student Worker

Classification: Student Worker

Pay Rate: $9.50/hr

Hours per week: Up to 20 hours per week

Days Worked: Flexible

Hours/Shift worked: Flexible hours worked, evenings and weekends as needed for events

Job Summary/Basic Function: CAMP student workers assist CAMP staff with office tasks, support incoming CAMP students, and attend/promote CAMP at various events on and off campus with CAMP staff

Required Qualifications: Enrolled Millersville University student. Available to work a maximum of 20 hours/week during the Summer, Fall and Spring semesters including evening and weekends when necessary. Must have good communication skills and work well with others. Organized, responsible, and dependable. Enjoys working with a diverse population and sensitive to cultural differences. Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum GPA 2.85. Bilingual or multilingual

Job Duties: Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with CAMP students and CAMP staff. Assist CAMP staff with various office tasks. Assist CAMP staff at events on and off campus. Speak with large groups or one-on-one about the CAMP program and eligibility requirements for potential incoming CAMP students. Supervise the CAMP office and students as needed. Be able to set and maintain boundaries when working with CAMP students. Attend CAMP and university meetings and events as scheduled. Maintain and report work hours

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Be able to assist CAMP staff with various tasks on and off campus. Must have dependable transportation to MU
