Job Overview Department: Tool Room Location: Cooper Standard Gaylord, MI manufacturing plant Pay Rate: $34.50 per hour Responsibilities Analyze specifications Layout metal stock Set up and operate machine tools Fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies Work with high precision and close tolerances Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machinery Set up secondary tooling operations Qualifications Applied knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures. Blueprint reading and specification of sketches. Education: High school graduate; 2 years vocational school training in machine tool technology a plus. Experience: 5-7 years tool room experience preferably in a manufacturing facility. Journeymen Tool & Die preferred. Physical Demands Walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting 60+ lbs. Work Environment Manufacturing Facility. Employment Type Regular.
