Helps provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting. Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital and the NAFI's financial position. Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning. Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package. Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy. Monitors compliance. Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers. Performs analyses of financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of proposals; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects; assists and guides managers deciding on capital reinvestments. Executes Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accurate verification, coding, and timely processing of vendor and miscellaneous invoices, disbursements, and expense claims. Manages Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including generating accurate billing, tracking outstanding aging reports, processing incoming payments, and resolving account discrepancies.
