Position Title Phlebotomist – We Train Qualifications Superior customer service standards High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule Interest in making a difference in the world Ability to obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable About the Role Our ideal phlebotomist is patient, reliable, and committed to keeping donors comfortable and happy. They work in a plasma center handling donor eligibility, rapport, and equipment operations, ensuring donor safety and product quality. Primary Responsibilities Assist in determining the suitability of donors. Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while preserving donor confidentiality. Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions. Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donors’ health and product quality. Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines. Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment. Occupational Demands Work is performed in a plasma center and involves exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms, electrical and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear, is required. The job requires standing for 6‑8 hours per day, bending and twisting forearms and neck for 1‑2 hours per day, frequent hand and foot movements, occasional squatting or crouching, and light lifting up to 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. Vision and hearing requirements include corrected vision to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other, and hearing acuity essential for following instructions.
