Registered Nurse - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), with an every other weekend requirement.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care to pediatric patients in a long-term acute care setting. This position requires experience with ventilators and tracheostomy management. Nurses are expected to work a total of two out of three designated winter holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Manage tracheostomy and feeding tube care.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during care procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience and experience in long-term care.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• BLS certification required; PALS/ACLS preferred.
• Prior charge experience is preferred.
