Summary

The County Court at Law Intern shall assist the County Court at Law judges and staff. The intern will assist with preparing research materials, forms, and other assigned duties.


Individuals in this position serve at the pleasure of the current elected official.

Responsibilities

• Searches resources, physical evidence, documents, and legal records to obtain information applicable to a case or issue under consideration.
• Conducts legal research by studying laws, statutes, constitutions, regulations, court opinions, including precedents and reasoning.

• Re-shelves files and organizes file room space.

• Documents and files materials received.
• Assists in answering office visitors and providing information to requestors.
• Operates office machines including computer, printer, photocopier and scanning equipment to enter and retrieve information.

• Assures the services delivered meet quality and timeliness standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Texas Class C driver's license.
