Operating Room Nurse - Days

Location: Glens Falls, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description: The Operating Room Nurse will provide essential surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during, and after surgery. A strong focus on maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment and patient education will be key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and maintain a sterile environment.
• Deliver pre and post-operative patient education.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during the surgical process.
• Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.
• Participate in all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience.
• Float experience to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT is required.
• Travel experience is needed.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience in both scrub and circulating roles is required.
• Candidate must possess a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
• MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
