Groundsperson (No Experience Necessary, Will Train)

The Groundsperson role is the entry point into a career at MTLS. Many of our Climbers, Bucket Operators, and Crew Leaders started on the ground. We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded person ready to learn the trade from experienced crews and build toward a long-term career in tree care.

What You'll Do

• Feed limbs and debris into a chipper
• Set up daily worksites while identifying and communicating hazards
• Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely
• Operate a chainsaw safely
• Assist with tree climbing, pruning, rigging, and roping tasks
• Follow ANSI Z133 safety standards and all company safety protocols
• Assist pruners and arborists with ground operations

What We're Looking For

Required

• Willingness to learn; no experience necessary, we will train
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor
• Strong attention to safety and detail

Preferred

• Background in ground clearing, tree care, chainsaw operation, Avant, or skid-steer equipment
• ISA certification or other relevant industry credentials
