Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

We are seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Manufacturing Maintenance Specialists to support production, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and day-to-day plant operations within food processing, agricultural processing, ethanol, ingredient manufacturing, and other industrial environments.
This is a hands-on plant role for someone who enjoys working around machinery, troubleshooting equipment, supporting production teams, and helping keep manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.
Candidates may come from maintenance, machine operation, packaging, forklift, CNC, food processing, industrial production, warehouse, manufacturing, or other mechanically oriented backgrounds. Direct maintenance experience is valuable, but we are also open to strong machine operators and production professionals who have developed hands-on mechanical skills and want to grow into maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safe and reliable operation of production and processing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and production interruptions.
- Inspect machines and mechanical components for wear, damage, or abnormal operation.
- Follow diagrams, manuals, equipment instructions, and maintenance procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments.
- Remove, repair, replace, or assist with replacement of worn or damaged equipment components.
- Support maintenance of motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, and other plant equipment.
- Assist with equipment adjustments, changeovers, setups, and production support.
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, production, engineering, and supervisors.
- Support equipment installation, repair, and improvement projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate work-order and maintenance documentation.
- Keep tools, parts, and work areas organized and safe.
- Follow all safety, PPE, GMP, food-safety, and plant operating requirements.

Machine Operator & Production Backgrounds
Experience as a machine operator in a food processing, agricultural, manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment is preferred.
Candidates who have operated or worked around equipment such as the following may translate well:

- Forklifts
- Palletizing equipment

- Follow GMP and food-safety requirements where applicable.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Use proper lockout/tagout procedures when trained and authorized.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and quality issues.
- Work safely around moving equipment, production machinery, chemicals, and industrial processes.
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Preferred Background
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food processing, agricultural processing, industrial production, maintenance, packaging, warehouse operations, or a related environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, production equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Experience with preventive maintenance or equipment troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Forklift experience or certification is valuable.
- CNC, packaging, machine operation, welding, or fabrication experience is also valuable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, safety requirements, and equipment instructions.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime depending on plant requirements.
