Senior Human Resources Generalist

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the plant leadership team, providing comprehensive HR support across recruiting, employee relations, payroll administration, onboarding, engagement, safety coordination, and HR compliance. This role partners closely with the General Manager and department leaders to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce while fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly, salaried, and temporary positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Verify employee timekeeping records and support accurate payroll processing. Coordinate new hire orientation and training to ensure a successful onboarding experience. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Serve as the primary HR resource for employees by providing guidance, resolving workplace concerns, and promoting positive employee relations. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that enhance morale, retention, and organizational culture. Partner with plant leadership to support performance management and the annual compensation review process. Manage employee access and other HR administrative functions for the facility. Communicate company policies, organizational updates, and operational initiatives to employees. Recommend and implement HR process improvements to increase efficiency and support business objectives. Coordinate the site's Safety Program under the direction of the General Manager, including facilitating monthly Safety Committee meetings. Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Support the responsible management of company resources and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including recruiting, employee relations, and HR generalist responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong understanding of employment practices, HR compliance, and employee relations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels. Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The entry point salary for this role is $75,000 annually.
