This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented leader who enjoys coordinating people, equipment, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.Apply now and our AI Recruiter, Valerie, will reach out ASAP to learn more about how you match this role!What You'll Do as a Dispatcher:Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize fleet efficiency and meet customer commitmentsRespond to customer inquiries and resolve logistics-related concerns promptlyManage yard personnel schedules, labor allocation, time-off requests, and payroll processingMaintain accurate delivery, inventory transfer, and customer information within DDMS and BisTrack systemsMonitor driver compliance with DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and required certificationsCommunicate regularly with sales, operations, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth operationsSupport safety initiatives and assist with reporting and investigating workplace incidentsWhat You Need to Bring to the Dispatcher Role:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years of customer service experience; building materials or lumber industry experience preferredPrevious leadership or management experience preferredWorking knowledge of DOT rules and regulationsFamiliarity with the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding communitiesStrong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, DDMS, and/or BisTrack softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds #metrocareersWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
