The work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends, 10:00 pm - 10:00 am.

The Cleaning Supervisor assists the Janitorial Manager in the completion of their managerial duties and directly oversees custodians on three shifts in a manufacturing environment. This position will act as the onsite supervisor for all custodial/janitorial functions at the site.

Success criteria include complying with safety rules, performing work assignments in a team, maintaining a clean work area, following all company procedures, policies, and rules, taking direction and responding to supervision, communicating professionally, using proper personal protective equipment, presenting a professional appearance and conduct, understanding customer service and satisfaction, understanding reporting systems and the environment, and instilling trust.

Key areas of collaboration and influence include a solid commitment to the guest experience, always remembering safety first, building respectful relationships with all teammates and guests, willingness to take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager, coordinating activities with other internal departments, and participating in management team meetings.

Ideal candidate experience includes five years of experience in a janitorial position with a Facilities Maintenance/Janitorial Services firm, at least one year previous supervisory experience, the ability to provide "hands on" oversight and direction to a custodial team, proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, the ability to clear/satisfy all background checks and other security requirements, a valid driver's license, the ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, customer representatives, and upper management, proficiency at performing administrative tasks, the ability to demonstrate good judgment and conduct oneself in a professional manner, previous experience in a union environment preferred, availability to work weekends and holidays if needed, and bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).

Key accountabilities include providing direction and oversight of union custodial workforce, scheduling employees and work, following all safety rules and guidelines, directing special cleaning projects, communicating with tenants/customers, continually inspecting quality levels and retrain staff as needed, inventorying supplies/materials, reviewing and ensuring accurate time keeping records, disciplining employees in partnership with the Janitorial Manager, and ensuring completion of janitorial work and all administrative tasks.

Physical demands and work environment include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, exposure to high, precarious places, exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock and vibration, occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, and the noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
