Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Manage a full hand therapy caseload , including fabrication of splints , with 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned with appropriate supervision and evaluation
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in good standing (California)
• Outpatient OT experience required
• Hand therapy experience required , including comfort with splint fabrication and managing a full hand caseload
• New graduates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential or progress toward certification
• Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
• Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
