Director OF Nursing

Location: Chicago, IL 60641 Type: Full-Time Pay: $85,000 – $100,000 per annum Schedule: Monday to Friday; weekends as needed Expected Hours: 40–50 per week Medical Specialty: Geriatrics, Home Health About Us Founded in 2010, Safe Life Home Health Care is CHAP certified and has been proudly serving the elders of our community for over a decade. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our clinical team as the Director of Nursing, continuing our commitment to exceptional home health services. Position Overview As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing staff and ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will lead clinical operations, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strong leader committed to fostering a supportive environment and enhancing patient outcomes. Responsibilities Oversee the nursing department, including staffing, training, and performance evaluations Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality care and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate patient care plans Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce rehospitalizations Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient records using WellSky Kinnser EMR in accordance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of home health care experience required, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role Proficiency in WellSky Kinnser EMR preferred Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality assurance practices Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience & Licensing Supervising experience: Needed License / Certification: RN – Illinois Active License required Advantages Competitive salary and benefits package including healthcare benefits Supportive work environment with a strong emphasis on company culture Opportunities for professional growth and development A chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families Benefits Retirement plan Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr
