A Brief Summary of This Position

This position is an individual contributor position and will be responsible for the shipping and receiving of product with certification of proper mobile equipment. This individual will be required to operate equipment to move material including forklifts.

Essential Functions

• Must demonstrate good literacy skills
• Be able to create Manifest For Hazardous Materials
• Responsible for incoming product being received and proper signage on paperwork.
• Responsible for product storage in warehouse
• Responsible for inventory count on material
• Responsible for inspection of material received.
• Responsible for six-point inspections of finished product prior to shipping.
• Be able to create and read tags, bills of lading, and shipping and receiving papers
• Knowledge of department and plant processes
• Certification of mobile equipment used
• Perform safety audits
• Train new employees
• Participates in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5S
• Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift
• Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs
• Demonstrates the ability of attention to detail of product and processes
• Maintains an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not accepted
• Performs other duties directed by leaders and management
• Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors, which conform to all Valmont safety policy and procedures
