Controls Technician - Dallas Forth Worth International Airport (Non-Terminal)

Job Overview Controls Technician – maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair Building Automation System (BAS) for Oshkosh AeroTech’s airport support equipment. Key Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and navigate BAS. Diagnose and repair electrical and control components of the BAS. Analyze BAS data to identify problems and trends. Make necessary changes to the BAS through approved processes. Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair of electrical/controls equipment including input/output controllers, communication hardware, control programs, networks, and motor control panels. Ensure work areas remain clean and free of debris. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Two years’ experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and installation of building automation systems or a related field. Valid Driver’s License and ability to be badged for secure airport areas. Proficiency with desktop business applications (Excel, Word, Access). Ability to work effectively in both team and self‑directed settings and coordinate with end users, customers, consultants, and vendors. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Availability for non‑regular hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays, on‑call, rotating shifts). Reliability in attendance and punctuality. Ability to operate a company vehicle daily. Proficiency with laptop computers, multi‑meters, and calibration equipment. Preferred Qualifications Electrical degree. Texas Journeyman Electrical License. Experience with Andover, Schneider and Johnson controls. Physical Demands & Work Environment Work in airport operation environment with vehicular traffic, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to weather, fumes, chemicals, and vibration. Regular lifting of up to 49 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, and communicate.
