Risk Analyst V - Operational Risk Management: Centralized Testing & Verification

Location:4900 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn OhioJob SummaryThe Operational Risk Management Oversight department and the Centralized Testing & Verification team is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team and play an important role within the Risk Management organization with an objective to test the operational effectiveness of internal controls and verification testing of business line’s finding and remediation activities.To achieve this objective, the Testing Analyst will be responsible for executing the following activities:Leading process walkthroughs with control owners & key stakeholdersScheduling testing in alignment with the testing planDrafting and submitting results to impacted stakeholdersDesigning test scripts, test steps & testing templatesSelecting populations/samples for testing in accordance with internal requirements and industry standardsRequesting and collecting testing evidence and supportCoordinating reviews of testing completed with the ManagerCommunicating resultsRecommending solutions to mitigate control gapsIdentifying and executing process improvements in the testing functionIn the execution of these responsibilities the Testing Analyst will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work well with and influence others and be detailed, curious and diligent in the execution of testing. This role will also interact heavily with the Business Line process and control owners and other Risk and Audit professionals.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience5+ years of applicable experience of internal, external or regulatory auditing experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceThorough knowledge of Risk, Compliance, Audit competenciesIntermediate understanding of financial institutions and operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks & controlsIntermediate knowledge of applicable bank policies, laws, and regulationsPreferred: Experience with Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs)Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skillsEffective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsProficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentationsApplicable professional certifications or interest in pursuing: CISA, CIA, CGEIT, CRISC, etc.Core CompetenciesAll KeyBank employees are expected to demonstrate Key’s Values and sustain proficiency in identified Leadership Competencies.Physical DemandsGeneral Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.Work Location CategoryHybrid (3+ days)COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
