RN - ICU (FTE & Part-Time) Location: Chicago (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Positions: 3 Experience Required: 2 - 20 Years Shift Details Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (36 hrs/week) Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hrs/week / 24 hrs Part-Time) Job Description The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex and life‑threatening conditions. This position involves continuous monitoring, emergency response, and management of advanced life‑support systems in a fast‑paced critical care environment. The ICU RN is responsible for ensuring patient safety, supporting families, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously Respond effectively to medical emergencies dminister medications and treatments as prescribed Maintain accurate and timely patient records Critical Care Management Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment (ventilators, IABP, etc.) Perform wound care and manage post‑surgical recovery Conduct diagnostic tests and follow‑up care Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols Collaboration & Quality Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families Participate in quality improvement initiatives Support departmental goals and patient care standards Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Operational Responsibilities Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards dapt to flexible scheduling and workload demands Remain calm and effective under high‑pressure situations Must‑Have Qualifications DN / BSN / MSN from an accredited nursing program ctive RN License (Illinois) BLS Certification (AHA / Red Cross / Military Training Network) CLS Certification (AHA) Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience t least 1 year of ICU/PACU experience (preferred/required by client) Minimum 1 year stability in at least one hospital role Preferred Qualifications ICU or Critical Care experience Experience with ventilators and advanced life‑support equipment Strong emergency response skills Core Competencies Critical thinking & clinical judgment bility to perform under pressure Strong communication skills Team collaboration Patient‑centered care approach Work Environment Intensive Care Unit (ICU) High‑acuity, fast‑paced clinical setting Requires flexibility for day/night shifts Additional Requirements Open to full‑time permanent role (even if prior contract/travel experience) COVID‑19 vaccination (subject to exemptions) No resume modifications allowed Must be open to onsite work in Chicago #J-18808-Ljbffr Broughton Group
