Title: Sr Copywriter

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr on W2 without benefits

Project Overview:
The project involves supporting Capital One's Brand Horizontal Servicing, Risk Events, and Spanish Implementation team by creating, editing, and translating customer-facing communications in both English and Spanish. The work primarily focuses on regulatory and operational communications, including letters and notices related to risk events, policy updates, credit limit changes, and customer account servicing. The role requires strong bilingual writing, grammar, and localization skills, with an emphasis on using neutral/international Spanish and maintaining Capital One's brand voice across all communications. Candidates will work with reference materials, translation memory platforms, glossaries, and cross-functional stakeholders to adapt and refine content in a highly regulated financial environment. Success in the role depends on attention to detail, the ability to manage feedback from multiple partners, and willingness to learn internal systems, terminology, and compliance standards quickly.


they will review the portfolios of candidates and will figure out who the people they want to evaluate, there will be two evaluations one English and one Spanish both evaluation will kind of like to help them gauge who are ranked higher in terms of preferences


having strong soft skills, like good communication and judgments skills the reason because a lot of the things are done in an ecosystem where the individual will interact with legal and also with other partners such as translation partner whenever its in the Spanish side and also intent owners whenever its on the English side, the regular day would mean that the individual gets an assignment they will get either the briefing or a request through the translation platform they will accept it and start working on it
there is a glossary of terms and style guide they understand that the individual may not know everything and may make some mistakes but that willingness to kinf continue to pimprve


They have reference materials available. Team has 2 other individuals.
There will not be a lot of creative writing in this role. It wil be more of using the reference, leveraging the reference, working on two or three documents that have the answer in terms of what the communication should look like. Doing that mental cut and pasting will be their key indicator of success.


Basic qualifications
Bachelor's degree or military experience
At least 4 years of work experience in Spanish language communications or creative writing


Preferred Qualifications
4 years of experience in a Hispanic agency or in-house Hispanic team
1 year of experience in financial or some other highly regulated industry
Command on financial terminology, international spelling, no typos, or grammatical errors.
Attention to detail.


Note: Must provide a portfolio for both English and Spanish examples - general picture of what have they done and where do they excel. The file or linlk must be accessible.
