The Ideal Candidate Must 1-3 years of experience Valid, current RRT/RCP license in the State of Florida 21 years of age or older Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program Current CPR certification Valid driver’s license and vehicle to visit patients Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. for equipment transport Desire for personal and professional growth in outpatient care Strong organizational, communication, marketing, and counseling skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently or as part of a team Responsibilities On‑site support of clinical, administrative, and technical services of the respiratory department Visit patients in their homes after hospital discharge to set up respiratory equipment, including portable oxygen concentrators, Trilogy and Astral non‑invasive ventilators (NIV), CPAP/BiPAPs, tracheostomy suction equipment, and high‑humidity aerosol equipment Complete detailed care plans and conduct respiratory assessments and other clinical services for chronic respiratory disease patients in accordance with AARC best practices Provide plans of treatment and review clinical documentation to suggest NIV settings to healthcare partners and office staff Communicate with families, physicians, and other health care professionals Maintain daily, thorough documentation of services in the EMR Greeting patients, maintaining a clean environment, creating a positive vibe, and being a team player Schedule: Monday to Friday; weekends as needed Qualifications License/Certification BLS Certification (Preferred) Florida RCP License (Required) All other licensing requirements to perform services in the State of Florida Strong verbal and written communication skills Good time‑management skills; self‑starter and team player Ability to work well with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff Passion for helping others feel their best Excitement to bring a unique style to the treatment room Job Type PRN (pro re nata)—per diem, on‑call pool of therapists. PRN therapists choose when they work, accept or decline assignments based on availability, and may work in ALF and residential home settings.
