Description Position Description: Teya Diversified Services, LLC is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of a single industrial facility supported under a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facility maintenance contract. Working closely with the Program Manager, this position will help ensure all building systems function efficiently and safely. This is a full-time, on-site position. The Building Engineer will perform hands-on management of facility equipment, adhere to safety standards, coordinate with vendors and contractors to support facility upgrades and emergency interventions, and use CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools to track and report on maintenance activities. The position requires strong problem-solving ability, communication, time management, and attention to detail, with the ability to respond promptly to facility incidents in a federal contracting environment. - Perform regular building maintenance and system inspections.
- Repair equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility services and upgrades.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve facility incidents.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities and reports.
- Support facility upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
- Use CMMS software to track work orders, maintenance activities, and routine reporting.
- Communicate professionally with employees, vendors, contractors, Government representatives, and internal Teya departments.
- Handle program, employee, customer, and company information with appropriate discretion and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a DHS/ICE background clearance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in building engineering.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance techniques.
- Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience supporting federal Government contracts or facilities.
