You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. Compensation: $15-17 an hour depending on experience/qualifications. Cook Responsibilities Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food‑handling practices. Prepare ingredients for the shift; wash vegetables, chop, season meat, etc. Cook according to food health and safety standards. Handle multiple food orders at one time. Ensure great presentation and food quality before serving. Ensure each guest order has the correct food and sides. Deliver food orders to wait staff in a timely manner. Perform any other duties deemed necessary to the position. Cook Qualifications Previous experience as a restaurant cook (minimum 2 years). Valid Food Handlers certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Self‑motivated and self‑directed. Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks. Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders. Physically able to stand, move, bend, and kneel during the length of the shift; able to lift up to 50 pounds or more. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.). Ability to follow all sanitation procedures. Authorized to work in the United States. #J-18808-Ljbffr
