Inpatient Cardiology Physician Assistant Job in Southeastern MA-3 Shifts Weekly

A well-established cardiology practice is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join a team of Board-Certified Cardiologists providing inpatient cardiovascular care at a leading regional hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Position Overview

The PA will serve as a member of the inpatient cardiology rounding team and will work under the supervision of a cardiologist to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new inpatient cardiology consultations

• Provide follow-up care for hospitalized cardiac patients

• Manage care for interventional cardiology patients before and after procedures

• Coordinate inpatient and post-discharge care plans

• Communicate effectively with Hospitalists, Primary Care Providers, and other members of the healthcare team

• Participate in the supervision of cardiac stress testing (training available if needed)

• Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment

Position Notes

• No participation in the acute STEMI emergency team

• No cath lab scrubbing responsibilities

• Hospital-based role focused on inpatient cardiology care

Schedule

• Three 10-hour weekday shifts

• Rotating weekend daytime coverage approximately every fourth weekend

• Excellent work-life balance with a predictable schedule

Qualifications Required

• NCCPA Certification

• Knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, procedures, and medications

• Prior inpatient cardiology experience

• Physician Assistant experience is preferred but will consider a new graduate with a cardiology background.
